We are currently seeking a qualified Route Driver in the Savannah, Ga area. This is a full-time position with overtime available. This is a route-based driver position which is based in portable sanitation (Porta-Jons).

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Responsible for operating a service truck and driving to various routed locations to clean and service portable restrooms, holding tanks, and trailers.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Report deficiencies to shop immediately.
  • Operate service truck on designated route to work sites based on routing information.
  • Maintain contact with dispatch and supervisor to receive additional instructions or changes to work day, etc.
  • Service portable restrooms, holding tanks, sinks, trailers etc., located at work sites by following the Company’s route driver guidelines.
  • Stock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc. in all units being serviced.
  • Clean interior and exterior of units and add deodorizer solution to portable restroom units.
  • Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
  • Follow all established safety rules & regulations.
  • Communicate frequently with customers and job superintendents to ensure service level meets, or exceeds, their expectations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

HS Diploma or general education degree (GED) and one-year commercial vehicle driving experience, Class A or B CDL, or one-year truck driving experience if Class C, or a combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand and walk, sometimes long distances.
  • The employee is required to reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee may occasionally also stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee will lift and/or move with support, between 100 pounds and 150 pounds multiple times.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision & ability to focus.
